These coasters (2 per kit) are easy to make and fun for older kids, with adult supervision. I have the same kit, but I bought mine at Hobby Lobby or Michael's (for much less than the advertised price here). The glass comes in squares you cut with tile cutters and then arrange and glue onto an acrylic 4 inch square to make the desired design. The kit also comes with a piece of felt to glue to the bottom of the coaster. I've had mine for several years now and have been very happy with it.

I advise not working on this project in a place where you regularly eat, as there may be splinters of glass when you use the tile cutters. It's also a good idea to wear closed toe shoes and to keep pets away while working on this project. You're breaking glass, so there is some risk of being cut while working on it. It's still a fun project though and it's a great conversation piece on my desk at work.
