Cons (first, this time)
The picture is misleading to me because the actual bag is VERY small... a lot smaller than what I thought it would be (2" x 3" not including the decorative fringe). It is only good for a few marbles or a handful of BBs (slingshot hunting ammunition???) or 3 dice or something of that nature... lucky coins... etc.
I was disappointed to find out that the neck cord was not leather, but a red cord that looks a lot like a child's shoe lace. You would not know this beforehand unless you looked very closely at the picture. It is a little too short for me so I will either replace it with 550 cord or leather lace from a craft shop.
Also, the directions say there are beads provided for the project, but none were in the package & none are pictured on the front picture. The leather fringe & leather drawstring "leaf" are included though.
Pros
It is a nice little mini-project... Everything is provided, needle, fairly good quality leather (better than what I was expecting), and enough, tough waxed thread (almost feels like bank line) is provided so that you can re-stitch the thing over again once you are almost finished & realize you didn't stitch the little leather fringe on the right way in the first place (smile). The leather looks & smells like a good pair of Wells Lamont work gloves (yes, the leather is that thick).
Lacing the thing together was somewhat therapeutic, almost reminiscent of an adult coloring pictures in a child's coloring book with crayons as a stress reliever. Since I was expecting something larger, it has inspired me to go to the hardware store, pick up a good pair of quality leather work gloves & make a larger one... lacing it together with waxed artificial sinew or tarred bank line.
